We recommend 2-3 months of consistent preparation for optimal results. This timeline allows you to thoroughly review content, build test-taking strategies, and complete multiple full-length practice tests. However, your ideal timeline may vary based on your starting score, target score, and current academic schedule. Our diagnostic test helps determine the right study plan for your specific needs.
A "good" SAT score depends on your college goals. The average SAT score is around 1050, while competitive universities typically look for scores above 1200-1300. Elite institutions often prefer scores of 1400+. However, the best score for you is one that meets or exceeds the middle 50% range for your target schools. Our platform helps you set realistic goals and create a personalized study plan to achieve them.
Our diagnostic test is designed to quickly assess your current skill level across all SAT sections: Reading, Writing and Language, and Math. It identifies your strengths and weaknesses, measures your performance against SAT standards, and generates a personalized study plan. The test takes approximately 30-45 minutes and provides immediate results with detailed insights into which topics you should focus on first.
Yes! You can retake the diagnostic test as many times as you want. We actually encourage retaking it periodically (every 2-3 weeks) to track your progress and adjust your study plan. Each retake helps us refine your personalized recommendations and shows you exactly how much you've improved. Your progress history is saved so you can see your growth over time.
Our comprehensive platform includes thousands of authentic SAT practice questions organized by topic and difficulty level, multiple full-length practice tests that simulate the real exam experience, detailed answer explanations for every question, specialized math problem sets, video tutorials, and downloadable study guides. We also integrate with Khan Academy and offer both online resources and in-person SAT prep classes to match your learning style.
The SAT has a total score range of 400-1600, combining two section scores of 200-800 each: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and Math. Your raw score (number of correct answers) is converted to a scaled score using a process called equating, which accounts for slight variations in difficulty between test versions. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so you should answer every question. Our practice tests use the same scoring methodology as the real SAT.
Yes! We offer both in-person SAT prep classes and courses near you, as well as a powerful online platform. Our in-person classes provide structured learning with experienced instructors, peer collaboration, and accountability. Our online platform offers flexibility with 24/7 access to practice materials, personalized study plans, and progress tracking. Many students find success using a combination of both in-person instruction and online practice.
We're proud partners with Khan Academy! Rather than competing, we complement their excellent free resources. While Khan Academy provides outstanding instructional content and practice, our platform adds personalized diagnostic testing, curated practice question sets, full-length simulated tests, progress analytics, and the option for in-person classes. Think of us as your comprehensive SAT prep command center that integrates Khan Academy alongside other proven resources to create a complete, data-driven study experience.
